Once upon a time, I belonged to a left-wing egalitarian Conservative synagogue, where I was one of a number of women who wore a tallit—and one of the few members who used an Orthodox prayer book (adding the Mothers, of course). Having moved since then, I now belong to a right-wing traditional Conservative synagogue, where I’m almost always the only woman wearing a tallit—and one of the few members who adds the Mothers. I seem destined to be forever . . . on the fringe.

Ah hah, I was wondering when I'd come across a post in the Jewish blogosphere that was talking about that. You're the first one I've seen.
I'm debating on whether I want to post about it or not.
Techelet, I'm literally shocked--being one of the Jewish blogosphere's more apolitical bloggers, I was sure that someone else would get to it first.
Good grief, my memory must be even worse than I thought--Aussie Dave and Jameel and Joe Settler both posted about the WikiLeaks revelations yesterday.
